Let Us Plant a Tree for You for Earth Day

by Dan on April 22, 2010

If you didn’t know already, you now have no excuses – today is ‘Earth Day’.

Earth Day was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson on April 22nd 1970, making today the 40th anniversary of the very first Earth Day.

The aim of Earth Day is to raise awareness of the environment, and to try and make everybody do at least one thing on the day that helps the environment – whether that be to recycle something, to walk or cycle somewhere where they would normally take the car, to make a consiencious effort to use less electricity or to do something slightly more significant – for example planting a tree.

Although the last of those options will have the biggest impact on the environment, with Ixpo’s help it is actually the easiest of the lot to do.

That is because with Ixpo’s new ‘Plant a Tree’ initiative, they will work with the National Forest Foundation in America and do all of the hard work for you. All you have to do is simply add one of the buttons from their website onto your website or blog, then email them about it, and they will get a tree planted for you. That’s it, you don’t even need to make a donation!

So please help to make a difference this Earth Day by adding one of the buttons to your site and getting a tree planted – it is easy, it is free, and best of all it will help the environment.

Please visit www.ixpo.com/plant-a-tree to find out more, or to get your tree planted!
